The PCN Lab invites applications for two full-time postdoctoral researcher positions, each for a 3–4-year appointment. The successful candidates will investigate advanced cognitive functions in rhesus macaques and collaborate with neurosurgeons or computational neuroscience teams.
Responsibilities:
(Optional) Investigating the representation, transformation, and transmission of task-relevant information in the prefrontal-striatal circuitry during advanced cognitive tasks in rhesus macaques.
(Optional) Collaborating with neurosurgeons to study neuronal activity in humans performing advanced cognitive functions using invasive electrophysiological techniques and comparing results with rhesus macaque findings.
(Optional) Collaborating with a computational neuroscience team to develop novel mathematical models based on high-throughput data to understand the information flow within neural circuits.
Perform data analysis and contribute to manuscript preparation and publication.
Requirements:
A Ph.D. degree (or expected soon) in Electrophysiology, Computational Neuroscience, Cognitive Neuroscience, Clinical Medicine, Psychology, or related fields.
A solid mathematical foundation and proficiency in machine learning, linear algebra, and mathematical modeling are preferred.
Proficiency in programming, particularly in MATLAB or Python.
Published SCI papers as the first author.
Fluent in English, with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
